Sorry if this is a dupe. If I order a lower receiver, which I have to buy as a regulate firearm, am I free to assemble with any upper I desire, e.g., pencil barrel/M4 profile since it is ALREADY "voluntary registered" :mad54: as a regulated firearm?

I found good deals on lower receivers and uppers online, so before I assemble, I wanna know...

Thanks in advance for any expert advice.

    You CAN:
-Build any rifle configuration with a minimum barrel length of 16", including 14.5" barrels with a permanently attached muzzle device that take it to 16".

-Build a pistol configuration without a foregrip or stock.

    You can NOT:
-Build an SBR= a barrel less than 16" and a stock

-Build an AOW= a pistol with a forgrip

These require federal NFA stamps. Those will take you $$$ and time.

I did everything online rather than call...i imagine the stress large retailers and distributors in the gun industry have to be in since the panic started...in order online, So i dont have to put up with anyone being rude...but if they are, i do not take it personal..,imagine being asked the same question ( do o have any ar stuff left?) over 1,000,000 per day...
