I just bought myself a new toy, a CVA Optima .50 caliber muzzleloader pistol.

It is 14" long and can handle up to a 100gr charge. I've wanted a Traditions Vortek for some time now, but in my opinion, the Optima is a better weapon because it has a 30% higher powder capacity, it is pre-fit with a Weaver rail, and it costs about $130 less than the Vortek.

I have a question for all of you equipment junkies; what is the right scope to put on this guy? I'm not averse to putting a red-dot sight on it if that is what is appropriate. I have three parameters for this purchase

    1) It will help me to accurately hit targets out to 100 meters.
    2) It can handle the more pronounced kick of the gun
    3) It costs under $100

    Thanks
