If you havn't read "Gun Grab Descent Into Anarchy" it is a must read for those who want to know what can happen. Buy used for a better price. Warning! It will make you very POed. It is also why I renewed my NRA membership.

We simply must NEVER forget what happened in New Orleans after hurricane Katrina.

"No one will be able to be armed. We are going to take all the weapons."
    - New Orleans Police Chief Warren Riley

The fact that orders to confiscate guns were obeyed, like the old woman who was tackled inside her own home for having an unloaded pistol, makes me very thankful for OathKeepers and frankly everyone who has made the promise to support and defend our constitutional rights should be an OathKeeper!

    NEVER FORGET....

It's enraging that their decision was to just disarm everybody. The way they handled everything with Katrina was wrong. I understand they didn't want people running around with weapons but they should have exercised much better discretion with what people were doing. Leaving your home and bringing your guns so they don't get stolen should have been fine. Being inside of a well prepared home with a firearm for self protection should have been fine. As a collector I have quite a bit of money wrapped up in my collection. Not giving receipts and smashing that one guy's .22 is just simply unacceptable. Since MD is a coastal state we could very well get a storm that powerful. I wonder if they would do the same thing here. I don't like the direction I see our country going. People are becoming far too okay with their rights being taken away in the name of their own safety.

Also in that book the LE who helped people and didn't abuse peoples rights were recognized. Never the less it did happen.

Yes, it could happen here, and especially since Maryland is run by a bunch of gun-grabbing socialists, it would be more likely ... :sad20:

But, what a better opportunity for a boating accident to occur when the next hurricane comes up the bay. :innocent0
