870 Anywhere?

I've been looking for an 870 in a tactical variant for a while and have hit a dead end. Shoot, I'd even take a plain jane 870 express at this point but EVERYTHING is OOS... damn election year.

Any leads? I know I'm in VA but I'll drive to MD if anyone knows of one in stock anywhere.

I hope that you have better luck in your search than I've had recently while seeking barrels for my 20 ga 870. Between Remington being split/sold and the 2020 surge in buying, it's slim pickins out there.

I watched several 870s sell for between $450 and $700 today up at the Redding Auction in Gettysburg. Auctions are going to be your best bet right now for just about anything.

Thanks everyone, I'll just chalk it up to election nonsense. I've got other 870s but really wanted one to send to Wilson for their Remington Steel package. Guess I will just wait till this all settles down.

Have you called any pawn shops? I think Woodbridge Pawn and Gold has some.

Not a Remmy,, BUT
Walmart by me had 2 Mossberg 500 12g HD black for $177 each,, and always has Stevens 320s in 20 and 12 for $147- $198

I thought there was no new Remington production after the recent bankruptcy. Ruger bought Marlin, and Vista Outdoors bought Remington ammunition, but did anyone purchase their main firearms division? MidwayUSA lists Remington made 870 shotgun barrels as discontinued.

As much as I hated to go there, I followed my wife into Dick's Sporting Goods (appropriate named store), here in "Waldawf" the Wednesday before Christmas, and while there, I walked past the gun department.

There were two (2) Remington 870 20 ga. shotguns on their rack.
One in some sort of camo, and one in their Express finish and hardwood furniture.

The price on each was $359.99.

IF either one had been 12 ga., I would have bought it.

870s are like potato chips. You can't have just one.

Roundhill Group, LLC (Real Estate Investors) bought them, no clue when/if any Remington branded firearms will be made again or what quality they may be.
