I've passed the 4000 rd mark with my .22 Gamo Whisper Wildcat and it is still going strong.
I have attached some pics of shooting in my parking lot with the target at 25 yards. The rifle is regulated for 45 feet as I normally practice in my basement.

With the exception of adding a Charlie Da Tuna trigger and changing the scope, this is a stock rifle. The scope is a cheap 2-7x32 Winchester AO (the AO is off from the markings but it does its job) and, for what I use it for, it works just fine.

The target has 25 rounds of Crosman Premiers out of the can with no weighing. This groups was shot with me leaning my left forearm and right elbow against my pickup. It was 8PM last night and it would have been better if I shot it in the daytime.

The rifle is still backyard friendly, for those that need it to be, and hasn't gotten any noisier as it ages. It is also plenty powerful for any pest inside of 25 and, for birds, out to 35 yards. Set up as it is, the premiers shoot 2 inches high at 25 yards and drop 3/4 inch at 35 yards.

Amazon still has them at $119 and it is worth it.
