-I've been on the lookout for a French holster for a MAB Model D (which of course I haven't obtained yet, gotta put that cart in front of the horse) and ran across a listing on Evil Pay for a French / HSc holster that got my attention. What had me interested was the Kriegsmarine eagle/M stamp. First thought was possible fraud but the more I looked at the photos the more I felt it was worth a small gamble. So I rolled the dice and brought it home for a Ben Franklin.
-It showed up in today's mail and I found a video that Tom from Legacy produced featuring a Kriegsmarine HSc with holster. Lo and behold, the holster is identical to mine. Now I'm breathing much easier. Inside the flap there is a faded name penned in blue ink but too gone for my old eyes to make out.
-Now I'm going to see if I can resist the lure of acquiring a Kriegsmarine HSc to fill it!

Well, that was a Franklin well-spent!

"Tom from Legend" = Tom from Legacy Collectibles?

A genuine Kreigsmarine Hsc would be a nice addition :)

A perfect life lesson: don't post something 2 hrs beyond your normal bedtime at the end of a very long day. Yes, it's Tom @ Legacy.
Hate to say it because I'm supposed to be pumping as much money into the New Car Account but I'm willing to bet my OCD will have me trolling the HSc listings yet again, looking for a Navy marked example to fill that nice holster. For only 7,000 built they don't seem to be horribly hard to find, just to pay for!

-Only took just over a year but I got my Kriegsmarine HSc! A tidy 4th variation example in excellent condition. The sole downside being the typical missing front projection on one of the grips which is a common occurrence. The rest of the pistol is matching with a very strong finish.
-Unlike earlier variants which have the large and unique Kriegsmarine Eagle M property marks on the front strap, the later examples have to be identified by the small Eagle/M/6 mark on the left trigger guard. Similar to that on the holster. SN also falls within the range noted by Jan Still, one of 4,500 built in the 4th variation. About 14,000 were procured by the Kriegsmarine in total.
-Happy with the price I paid (not so much with the vig that GB is now charging, really adds up on the more costly lots). Inbound to me so GB seller's photos for now.

    Lookin' good!

I haven't looked at that seller's listings in a while, usually has a red background and didn't recognize it :)
Usually has a decent number of Axis pistols listed.
