Bought for our old Whirlpool Gold refrigerator.

Saved it for a spare, but realized the new fridge uses a different one...

    FREE to good home....

Picked up in Essex, Middle River area, 21220/21221

I just mark mine as replaced in the menus. I am not buying a $50 filter every 3 months when the water here is just fine. I am on city water.

I love how each model uses a different filter...and by love I mean hate...

*****Tell me about it. My GE Profile fridge uses these special filters now with a chip embedded in them to make it harder for 3rd parties to make a cheaper substitute. The fridge has a count down timer thing and tells you when to replace the filter, and the filters are NOT cheap.

The water that comes out of the fridge using those filters *does* taste great though (kinda has this bitter almonds taste but I've always liked almonds!) and I can now stomach drinking at *least* 100 MILLI-liters of the stuff per day versus without those nice filters when I would only drink beer and scotch.

I'm not happy about the cost of those filters but you can't put too high a price on safe drinking water free of chlorine resistant cysts, lead, select pharmaceuticals, and 50 other impurities! (That's what it says right on the filter!!) I'll cut one of those bad boys open one day and hope to see more than just someones old gym sock in there filtering out all of these impurities!
