Idk what gun your shooting your 3006 out of, but my garand seems to really like Hornady 150gr fmjbt (#3037) with 39.6 gr of H335

A garand. Thanks! Most of my FMJBT is Hornady. About 300 bullets of the 150gr and 300 miscellaneous 147 and 150gr FMJBT (no clue the manufacturer on them).

Actually I’ve got more of the 130gr OTM mk319 stuff (500). But I don’t plan to try to load that in my Garand.

I also have a couple hundred Hornady 150gr interlock, 100 165gr interlock and some amount of match stuff, but not a ton. I think I’ve got some 168gr ELD-m, some Midway “2nds” that looks like 168gr ELD-m and 150 Speer 165gr gold dot.

I think that’s the sum total of my .308 bullets.

I got a #1 of IMR 4895 but I haven’t tried it yet, I’ve also used PPU M2 150 gr FMJ pills which seem to run equally as fine but I just kinda like the Hornady better.

My go to 30 carbine load is a PPU 110gr FMJ on top of 14.5gr of H110. Admittedly I haven’t tried other bullets yet, but it was the most accurate loading in terms of powder charges. 4.5fps SD and about inch and a quarter 5 shot groups off the 50yd bench.

I ordered some H110 for it but I don’t have any projos. So we shall see how it goes once I get some.

Loaded 50 45/70 300 grain cast that I made and the last 15 of my 350 grain Berry's 50 caliber S&W magnum. I casted about 200 rounds of 300 grain 45/70 use store bought blue lube. I the past I have been able to find 50 caliber Berry's heads but now no luck. So I placed an order with Accurate Molds for some Brass 3 head molds, 350 grain heads for both the 45/70 and 50 caliber with 2 lube groves. It will about 12+ weeks to get them. Mean while I have stocked about 35 pounds of lead in 1 lb. bars. Had some luck last fall on the last day of the season. I decided to leave the 45/70 in my vehicle and just take the 50 caliber pistol. Well some times it is better to be luck than good. Took down one at about 35 yards with open sites.

Finished up today. Trimmed 150 rounds, brushed necks, primed, lubed necks and seated bullets. Ready for the first match of the year for my dad and I, fingers crossed the weather holds.

Well since I retired in 3/2020 I have been able to spend time searching the WWW. Yesterday evening UPS dropped off WLRM Primers and .500 S&W cases the powder is coming latter in the week.

Looks like for the fall I will be adding a Bighorn Armory .500 S&W lever action to my collection since Henry does not make one yet.

I have been in talks with Henry about adding a .500 S&W to their lever action group. They said it all depends on demand so I have been in contact with other .500 S&W owners. We all have filled out Henry's idea forms for new products to include a .500. If you are so inclined to help the link is below.

Cranked out 15 test rounds for my 7.62x39 123gr SST loads. 29gr CFE BLK... pretty tight fit in the case, but it works, it's not max, and I imagine it's gonna burn real even with that level of fill. Supposedly CFE BLK is the powder for 7.62x39 if you're trying to exceed factory velocities.
