    Greetings,
If an AR was purchased prior to 2013 is the rifle legal to sell? I apologize in advance if this issue has been covered before.

    Thanks

If sold in Md., it would have to have a heavy barrel.

You could sell it in two halves. The lower would have to go through an FFL either way. Sell the upper(presumably to the same person?) face to face.

It isn't illegal to own non Hbar uppers in Md. Just illegal to put them on an AR lower that was bought after 10/1/13.

Sure it can be sold. If it's not HBAR it has to be sold outside MD. See your FFL.

If it's HBAR, you're good to go. Thanks to MD GA, you'll still have to see your FFL.

I know a stripped lower needs a 77R but does a "complete lower" still need a 77R? And if a complete lower is not a "regulated firearm", the only reason you need to go to an FFL is to transfer a "long gun" (Due to that bull shitaki law about private sales that passed this year).

Not if it's banned. Have to sell to someone out of state.
