I already had the RCBS measure and wanted a second powder drop for my Hornady LNL AP press. While, Hornady's LNL set up makes switching calibers easy, that is only after you have set up and tuned all of your dies. Switching calibers on the powder drop takes a little more effort than I was expecting, so I decided that a second powder drop was in order.
I read somewhere that the Hornady Case Activated Powder Drop was compatible with other makes of powder measures. I did indeed mount an RCBS Uniflow Powder Measure on my Hornady Case Activated Powder Drop mechanism. It was quite easy. Remove the Hornady and add the RCBS. No modification or anything was needed. Now I have a complete setup for 9mm and .45 ACP.
