    Dexter filet knives (and scalers)

Getting them cleaned up before dropping them off for sharpening.

Jimmy Burrbender in Edgewater does a hell of a job on them.

How do you like the wave feature on the Endura?

Good morning--sorry for the delay in response. To answer your question-- I like it just fine. I purchased the Para 2 model with the Emerson opener, or wave feature, several months back to try out as my EDC. It took a little getting used to-- but after a couple of weeks and some repeated use (the repeated use is key) I've grown into it. So I thought I'd go ahead with the Endura for the Go Bag-- a little bit lighter in the handle and a different blade locking mechanism. Should be GTG after a little use to smooth out the opening.

Thanks River02. I carry serrated Spydercos as my EDC. I don't think I've ever seen one with the wave so I've never really had much occasion to try to get good with one. Someone here suggested a long time ago that a small zip tie through the thumb hole would do the same thing, but again I haven't tried.

Interesting-- not quite sure how the zip tie thing would work... but others have a way of rigging things that I usually find "out of the box" creative.

$35 wouldn't cover the raw materials, e.g. horn & leather, much less the workmanship and artistry, e.g. file-work. Quite the steal on steel there!

It is very nice. Thank you. I did not need or want a another knife, but it was a bargain and a bit of art. Sheath not the sturdiest. Would like to find something in kydex for the knife to rest in. But unlike a gun with a mod number how do you order a kydex sheath without the maker having the knife?

Have not been to a gunshow in a while, but some holster makers will make one on the spot for you.. So I would say bring the knife and that can mold one for you.

Several years back, IIRC, I heard that Engage Armament made custom Kydex holsters. Might be worth a call.

    Both Spyderco.
Orange one I carry every day at the day job - small enough to be legal in a Fed Facility.
Yellow one I carry on the boat.
Had Spyderco for years. - love them.
BTW, if you are AD, a Vet, Cop or Fireman Spyderco offers a 50% discount.
