Mitchel Sjeklocha brought home this French MAB. Not a common bring back.

Well I can think of 2 or 3 other members here who are Francophiles like me and will love the MAB D. Thanks for sharing!

Nice pick up. As anyone who read posts here know that those pistols don't come available to buy much.
Hmm, Is that really a 4 digit serial number. Any letter prefix before it?

What's unusual about that is that it is an A prefix prior to the Germans occupying France and taking over SACM.
That's a pretty scarce bird right there.

Nope, I really don't collect the French stuff specifically, more the German occupation pistols (and post-war French assembled P.38's).
The 1935-A was an interesting and neat pistol, if it had been chambered in 7.65 Browning or 9mm Kurz (or Parabellum even), I think it would have been a great success.
Sig seemed to like the looks of it anyway so I guess in a way it WAS a success :)

I need to pull my browning 1922 with the stamps and get you to tell me if its authentic. I got it at an attractive price for ANY 32 pocket pistol with the holster which I considered not even really with the gun at the time thinking it was added later.

some of the holsters can be worth as much or more than the gun.
