Hi all, have a Shockwave I’d like to turn into an SBS. It’s technically a firearm (7 day waiting period). Would getting a form 1 and putting a stock on it allow it to be an SBS?

Yes. Do an eForm 1. Much faster, at least in the past.

Strongly suggest you find an SOT to convert it to an SBS prior to transfer so that you can wait 18 months to do the transfer on a paper Form 4. No no, no need to thank me.

And down a new rabbit hole I go. I like the MagPul stocks for it but want it to all match so now I’m buying this in order for it to work with my BA kit and achieve the look I want

You'll need to do a little work on the Magpul foreend. It's not quite the same length as a regular 590.

if you go shell carrier I think I went mesa tactical, I didn't like the idea of replacing my pins with screws I ended up using 3M Dual lock and cleaning the area thoroughly with rubbing alcohol. I lightly clamped the Dual lock against the receiver for 72 hours,

I have a 590A1 SBS that I almost bought the Aridus industries QDC for. But then I thought about how much I paid for the shotgun and decided the cheap esstac shotgun placards were probably more my speed.

I will probably get an Aridus CROM and micro red dot for it, though.

True, I bought mine from a member here and I almost have as much into as I spent on it. I like the mesa tactical holders, nice non-adjustable retention of the shells, I think they use a slight rib in the holder for retention. And the dual lock holds strong and I can access FCG in the field if need be.
