I am, by no means, a fan of The Donald. I don't trust him to do anything with anyone but himself and his own interests first - BUT - the alternative is a known quantity; and it scares the ever-loving F@#K out of me. We know what Hillary will do. We know she will be another 4 years of Obama, but with an attitude and history of bodies in her wake. Imagine what she will do with the FBI, DEA, NSA, ATF and CIA at her beck and call.

I hear people talking about different third party "alternatives" and I look at history. The last time a 3rd party candidate even came close was 104 years ago and that was a very well known and well liked former President who ran a very well organized and popular campaign; and he still came up over a million votes short in an election that only recorded 20 million votes cast. Also, NO 3rd party has ever won the White House in our nation's history and I don't see that happening this time either. No other person has the popularity, organization or money to go up against grandma but Trump. A vote for anyone else is an ad-hoc vote for Clinton.

So, in November, I will hold my nose and vote Trump. Besides, I expect his Veep to be in the White House before the end of his first term anyway.

Congress makes the laws. Focus on the Congressional elections.

And POTUS issues EO's ... that our 'R'-dominated Congress didn't have the balls to countermand, let alone start impeachment hearings. How much would you wager on the same courtesy being afforded to Trump if he instituted nationwide constitutional carry via EO ?

NATIONAL RIGHT TO CARRY. The right of self-defense doesn’t stop at the end of your driveway. That’s why I have a concealed carry permit and why tens of millions of Americans do too. That permit should be valid in all 50 states. A driver’s license works in every state, so it’s common sense that a concealed carry permit should work in every state. If we can do that for driving – which is a privilege, not a right – then surely we can do that for concealed carry, which is a right, not a privilege.

A Trump presidency will be contentious as it is, but 2A edicts will bring out the long knives on the left in Congress ... and the closet-gun-grabbers on the right too.

    No...
That was the last election... Remember the "winner" that the GOP put up? Mittens Romney... The election couldn't be lost to the worst POTUS in history... Ahh, but it was.

I agree with you on Romney, but Obama was way more popular than Hillary is now. There is a lot more leeway in this election IMHO.

 I forgot to add 'We must also .... (focus on Congress)' to the beginning of my sentence, as I customarily do.

The new version sounds better than the last few, but we'll have to vote him in to find out what he really believes..:sad20:

But, hey, he's different now. He's the hope and change America needs, right? Gonna make America great again and solve everything....just like Obama promised in 2008 before he actually received national security briefings and saw reality.

People are actually going to vote for a game show host. We have gone full American Idol. Good job, folks.

I voted for an actor a long time ago and he did a pretty good job.

Same here and i wish we had him again to bring this country and world back together minus his star wars game and the li'l anti 2A dig he did.

I think alotuv' people in this country, regardless of party affiliation are sick'n'fukkin' tired of "politics" and want some REAL ACTIONS to shake up this country instead of the ol' do nextta' nuttin' same ol' ******** that's been going on for decades.

I just keep reminding myself that President Ronald Wilson Reagan was a life-long democrat... until he changed parties.

And he signed F.O.P.A, HR4332, with the duplicitously inserted verbiage restricting the mfr. of NFA firearms (the last-second voice vote amendment having been "deemed passed" by congressman Bawney Fwank despite video showing it never passed muster) without a moment's hesitation.

    Would Trump screw us?

I'll take my chances over Hitlery.

I always found this amusing as well. Trump gets a pass but the same people also were the first to chastise chris Christie for his support for a AR ban over 20 years ago. He just couldn't have evolved, but its ok for trump.

for the record, I voted for trump in the primary and will do so in the general, ( not that it matters) but so many of his supporters have such short and hypocritical memories
