Through what, the LCP Max? I usually wear cargo shorts/pants, so pocket size isn't an issue. Given this damn heat we are having figured going back to a pocket gun is a good idea. Particularly when I'm out fishing.
Yes, 350 through my LCP MAX. I’ve never understood why 380 is so expensive now. With cargo shorts you should be GTG, use a good holster. Good luck.....

Dang! I'll have to add that to my list then to evaluate vs the LCP Max. Did you fire the Max and the P365 around the same time? Think its interesting you cite a lower recoil impulse, which is what I'd want for accuracy. I don't have an issue spending a little more money if its worth it. I think Sig makes some great firemans...the engineering quality is there.

Look at this option, think it would work in a P365 holster in a cargo pocket?
I did not test fire the LCP Max and Sig 365-380 at the same time. The Sig 365-380 is optics ready-you can mount a red dot. See on youtube: . Also see .

Is it snappy? Realize that's a relative question, btw. Issue seems to plague some of the smaller .380s. Also, if you mind me asking, where are you getting the .380 ammo?
I run 12 round magazines in mine, so I am able to get a full grip. I don't particularly think the LCP is "snappy", but it's definitely not as easy as shooting a .22LR or say a Glock 17....your results may vary.

I would think, a P365 in 380 likely has less felt recoil. BUT P365 is a bigger handgun then the LCP Max. LCP is just so tiny. It really is the PERFECT pocket pistol. I carry mine in a kydex pocket holster about 95% of the time. I have an IWB holster as well that I use sparingly. If you are wanting to carry IWB, then sure maybe the P365-380 is a "better" choice. I know some people say they stick their 365 in their pocket too, however I think the LCP does that better.

Can't go wrong with either IMO. But if you think you are leaning towards pocket carry (which is wonderful in this heat and ANY wardrobe), I would recommend LCP Max.

Thank you. It's funny you mention that, I was just outside at the gas station thinking about the P365 vs LCP Max...its hot and humid outside probably what got me back to where I started. I want something thats as lightweight as possible while still being able to fire accurately inside of 5-7 yards. That's it, so I'm sure the P365 has less recoil...but its also heavier. I want a gun I can keep in a pocket holster in my front cargo pant pocket. Heck the P238 is a nice guy too, but then you've got about half the capacity of someone who's running the 12 round mag in a LCP Max.

I buy my Federal 380 ammo from the Federal web store. You need to check on a daily basis, because it comes in and out of stock quickly. https://www.federalpremium.com/handgun/

It's, of course, personal preference, but having carried in a real free state for several years now, I mostly carry a Ruger LCP II, but in the right hand pocket of my cargo pants. I reserve the cargo pocket for my wallet. Thinking behind that is that I don't have to reach as far to get to the firearm, if needed in a hurry. I use a Desantis Superfly holster which is very grippy and makes it easy to extract the firearm without the holster. Just my thoughts. Your mileage may vary. When conditions are favorable, I carry OWB with a thumb snap retention. Again, YMMV.

Yes/no. It’s been great for IWB, but it hasn’t earned 100% of my trust. So it doesn’t get carried much, which was the whole point of it. I’ve run several hundred rounds through it, hoping it just needed some working in. Still has FTF’ or FTE’s, every 3 mags or so, at the range. and no, not limp wristing. The nose on certain defense cartridges bind on the feed ramp when trying to rack it, making the rest of that particular ammo a lost cause. I will have to recheck which HP ammo it did function “ok” with…….i ended up getting frustrated with it, I parked it for a bit, so I’m not certain anymore what it liked. I had a nasty high side wreck years ago that left my right wrist slightly “awkward”, so that compounds to the already finicky nature of a tiny pistol for me personally. I stuck with my dagger for carrying, since that one has proven very reliable, and despite my previous injuries I can shoot it accurately and consistently.

No FTFs or FTEs with mine around with 800 rounds down the pipe. My only complaint is that it ejects brass straight up a good percentage of the time. I wear a baseball hat when I shoot it.

    Check out the DB9:

    Check out the DB9:

I've actually been trying to find one in gen 4. The early models had issues and were standard pressure only. Can't find one in stock anywhere. A friend has one of the early ones. I've shot it, it's not bad for an entry level pocket 9. Once I can find one I do plan on getting one.

    Here you go.

I have the same as that in the second link. I did change my sights to Ameriglo which stand out better. I love this gun and it is extremely reliable.

Thanks for that. I'll get one on order soon.

NICE!! I almost sold mine recently because I wanted something more accurate. I’ve tried several different 380 ammo, and never found anything that stayed consistent and accurate enough for what I wanted out of a carry piece regardless of it being “just a 380” I recently picked up as a last resort to test out, some fiocchi hyperformance xtp jhp, and it seemingly transformed the pistol into something I absolutely trust for carrying now. Had to go back and get a few more boxes. YMMV with yours, but mine loves that ammo. Mine hates hornady critical defense.
