So I had been thinking about getting my glock 19 gen 4 grip modified. I use red dots for all my pistols, and the grip angle of my glock makes the red dot point high compared to my Sig p365 and 2011. I’ve been doing a lot of research and even thought about sending my glock out to get the grip angle modified. I even tried the grip force adapter but didn’t like it.

I finally found a YouTube video by OTDefense where they sell a kit and extra back strap to reduce the hump. I decided to give it a shot and here are the results. I ended up buying their stippling kit as well.

This isn’t for everyone, but for those who have been in the same boat as me, I wanted to share an option that’s available. This was also my first stippling job. It’s not perfect but turned out well. The grip is so much better too.

P.S. I have no affiliation with OTDefense nor did they request this post.

Thanks. I may or may not have a p80 already.

    ;) :D

I'm weird. I kinda like the Glock 'hump'. I have long thin fingers and that hump helps eat up the extra real estate in the of my palm, which also helps to keep my trigger finger from hanging up in the guard.

Makes sense. I have short sweaty hands, so this should work better for me. Haha

Squeeze the grip where your pinky is... red dot falls right where it should, without the grip chop.

The gen 3s musta used my hand as a mold as the full size pistols fit my hands perfectly. Even the 45/10mm frames fit well. G19s are okay too. The small Glocks (43, etc)don’t fit my hands very well, but aren’t terrible. I think the P80 are okay. But I prefer the OG Glock gen 3 grip/frame.

Very nice work! I am way too much of a klutz to do something like that.

Thanks. I took my time and did the different steps over several days. Watched several YouTube videos too. The borders could have been cleaner, but I used a bigger wood carving tool than I should have. At least I have the right size now. I might try stippling my sig p365x next.
