    Hi Everyone,

    I have a stand alone natural gas stove (one of those fake wood stove looking things) and the Thermopile went up on it. This stove uses a standard 129471 TOP MOUNT PILOT ASSEMBLY NATURAL GAS Like this one;

    https://www.fireplaceparts.com/129471-top-mount-pilot-assembly-natural-gas.html

    I think it is number 33 on the diagram here;

    I just need someone to install it for me. I just can't move around well enough to do it myself. I will of course pay CASH and I will buy the part in advance.

    I called Fireside in Ellicott City where I bought it, and the said the part is on backorder for an unknown amount of time. They also said they will not install any part they did not sell me.

    THANKS!

    Rob

    That is a fairly standard part assembly. See if you can find another company willing to do the work. I just did this work on my gas fireplace. But, I am not licensed plumber.

    How did you determine a bad thermopile? I thought I had a bad one on my last gas fireplace but it just needed the carbon buildup cleaned off and some canned air blown thru the openings along with a quick vacuuming.

    My plumber says he will replace it for you if you can get the part.

    He says to contact Johnstone Supply in Annapolis (410)-280-0101, or
    R.E. Michel (sites in Glen Burnie, Landsdown, or Jessup) to see if they have your part and/or can get it faster.

    The plumber is Rick Jones - (410)-320-2699

    The Tech from Fireside came out and tested the voltage.
