Do you mind if I ask what that set you back? Feel free to tell me to mind my own business

I got it in an auction with another knife for a pretty good price, I'd say it's worth about double what an LF&C or Au Lion trench knife is worth. $2,000-$3,000 IMO.

The Chicago police department said the best way to defend yourself from a violent attacker is to vomit on yourself. I think flinging poo could work a little better. But NOTHING beats flinging LEAD!

The only better than catching a unicorn is catching one at a decent price... well done!

I got this one from an auction along with a 1917 bayonet and a few other pocket knives a few years back. Fairly confident it's not a fake but if I'm mistaken let me know. Mine looks better than some I've seen in museums and the scabbard has both prongs. Apparently post war folks thought the black coating was corrosion or something; hence the scrubbing off.

I've wanted one since I was a kid watching Rat Patrol or whatever

I recently watched The Big Red 1 again, this time with an eye on the weapons. One that got my attention was the WWI trench knife Lee Marvin used several times.

Crazed horse breaks the stock of Lee Marvin's rifle (why did he place it against the cross?) Lee escapes the horse only to hear something else approaching, pulls his trench knife and goes primal. Lee win's the fight but later encounters a personal struggle when he learns the was has been over for hours; murder vs killing, a theme throughout the movie.

I pick up something new each time I watch it; one of the best movies of all time in my book.

That's about as good as it gets! Very nice one. Please let me know if it's for sale or trade.
