    Hello Fellow Shooters,

I have a burning desire to add another 1911, but I want a dedicated .22 so
I can justify the purchase to the misses. I have been looking at the COLT/Umarex ? The sig and the Browning. So I ask for any comments or feedback on these or any other models you might recommend.

    As Always,
Thanks for your help in advance !

I want the GSG. I have not heard anything bad about them. Except for the guy on here whose rubber bushing got chewed up.

What do you plan to use it for?

I plan to use it mainly to let my daughter and nephew practice shooting.
They have become fond of my wilson, but I don't like that not to mention
    ammo costs for plinking.
I don't need a Target .22, already have that. I do prefer a decent trigger
and the feel of a 1911. Has anyone shot the GSG? what's the trigger like?

    Thanks again

The Chiappa 1911 may be worth looking into as well. I have never shot one, but it looks like it may meet your expectations. Here's a review:

The Sig is a rebranded GSG, same price. I've got a GSG I've shot the hell out of for several months. Great gun, no FTFs as long as I use high velocity ammo (target or subsonic won't cycle slide), no FTEs or jams. The opposite of my experience w/Chiappa, which has a shitty trigger to boot. The Browning's a nice piece to look at, except it's only 4/5 size. Don't know how it shoots. Colt's expensive, as you'd expect.

I have the GSG and the only problem I had was the ambi safety fell out. Also, mine does cycle the subsonic and target loads very well. Trigger feels "real niiice" and super fun to shoot.

I just got the GSG 2 weeks ago and so far have fired about 500 rounds through it. The only complaint in that the out of the box sights are off. It shot low, however they include both a taller and a shorter front post in the box, along with the tools needed to replace them yourself. After changing the front post and rezeroing, the thing is phenominal to shoot. Feels just like a 1911 in the hand and will put the rounds wherever you point. At 10 meters, it consistantly prints 2 inch groups. I have shot CCI stingers, Remington Winchester and Federal bulk package HV plated rounds with no problems in feeding, ejecting or accuracy.
