In for elk and deer here, drawing was Wednesday.

Results should be before Monday, May 24.

Who else is in and/or waiting for results?

CO is slowly releasing their first draw results. 1st rifle, got lucky with no points. Or not that great of an area.

Our results came out last weekend.

6 folks in the group of us that sort of work in affiliated groups of our company. One is a JR. they usually get a little preference on draws. And 3 more adults from another coworker .

One mule deer buck tag from roughly 40+ tags applied for. Combined. Lope, mulie, elk and some desert big horn included in that tally.

Several acquaintances report a few tags.

Looking like lower / slower with the old crew.

So how do you guys get the meat back home or are you just trophy hunting?

If you are trailer trash like me :toothless

Buy a 120v chest freeze that fits in the back of the pickup, tie it down, and take it along on the trip.

After the harvest, freeze the meat solid in the freezer, and drive back.

Coolers and dry Ice. Duct tape the seam around the lid and don’t open it. My meat was still frozen solid after 3 days driving home.

OK so you drive out there I was assuming you were flying out.

This will be my first trip to Wyoming to hunt in 10 years. This year only applied for doe tags. I butcher, vacuum pack, put in a cooler with dry ice and the meat is frozen by the time I get home. Supposed to get the results for the draw on Thursday

This will be my first guided hunt. What would an appropriate tip be for the guides? I'm not basing a tip on success. I'm basing it on how hard they work to put us in position for an elk.

I harvested my first elk. He was a decent 5x5.
