    So,
Taking the family Kayaking/Pedalboating tomorrow. Any recommendations for nice-ish (keep in mind we'll be in kayaking garb) restaurants in Deale or on our way to/from (coming from Brandywine)?

Yeah, I checked. They're closed on Mondays. How's Happy Harbor?

Quick hop to Chesapeake Beach. Couple of places there with the added benefit of a rinse either in the water park or in the marina. Ramp fee is $10 which would likely give you all access to the shower facility. I have eaten at Rod and Reel which is on the water. It was OK from what I remember. Across the street is a crab house at which I have not eaten. Happy Harbor is more like a diner, not that there is anything at all wrong with that.

Happy Harbor used to be great when they specialized in fried chicken. The menu has since become upscale and we haven't gone yet to check it out. It is a nice place on the water though.

Been going to Happy Harbor and Skipper's Pier for over 30 years. Either one will be fine.

Just enjoyed the harbor burger at HH this past Saturday. Added bacon and cheddar as usual. Been great for all these years.

Went to happy harbor. Kids got burgers that were good. I got the crab cake, which was “meh” at best (Blue Dolphin and Chick and Ruth’s spoiled me). BUT the boom boom shrimp appetizer and crab dip were great.

Happy Harbor. We run our charter boat out of there. I am there 8 days a week if not more.

As others have said, burgers are very good. Ultimate grilled cheese with extra bacon is my favorite. They have a floating dock to tie your kayak/paddle boards up to.

Really friendly staff but be patient - like a lot of places, they are scrounging to get servers.

Please do us a favor when on your kayak or paddle boards - please don't hang out in the middle of the creek, in front of the fuel dock and occasionally remember to look behind you. 50', 15 ton boats don't have brakes and don't necessarily stop or turn on a dime. This past weekend a family decided to hangout in the shade under the bridge on paddle boards and turned Rockhold creek into a boat traffic jam that looked like the Bay Bridge on Memorial Day weekend.

Might be too late as its Thursday July 21st, however I always stop at Happy Harbor whenever I go out from Deale. Food is good and its nice place to end a day on the water. :)

I love your place! Great food and great atmosphere. I'll be there again soon.
