I had to clearance the pad that I put on there a little so rounds would go in smoothly. It ran fine at the range and I plan to run it tonight for a little trap.
The lifter only pushes up so far when loading and you need every bit of it when you are putting high brass in there.
Honestly, after modding Jeremy's last night, it was really hard to catch your thumb on anything once the loading port is opened up some. You might want to try that first and see if you aren't happy with it.

I can't thank you enough for finding my SLP for me when I wanted a 3 gun shotgun. There are few things that I have been this pleased with. It is a fantastic shotgun.
Heres my VersaMax that I opened up and have a c-rums welded lifter. I used a file, dremel, sandpaper, and polished a little with Flitz. This thing runs great thus far. Once I have decided I'm done grinding I will go back and sand and polish it real good.
