Since I'm tapped out on ammo purchasing for the next few months... (3 cases or 9mm, 1 case of .40, 1 case of 357Sig, 1 case of 22LR) I want to help everyone else reach there tap out point!

I love finding deals on ammo but sometimes we need to sacrafice a deal for availabliltiy.... If you have a need for ammo or have found ammo (in stock deals only)

Wal-Mart in Eldersburg has some Remington/UMC .223, $9.47 per box-o-twenty, as well as some varmint HP's in boxes of 40 (not sure of price on those.)

edit: oops, you said anything but remington.... Oh well, for anyone else who's interested....

Bass Pro had a bunch of 9mm 50ct boxes of WWB and some SXZ and UMC. Some 38 Special, a bunch of 357 Sig for handgun caliber. I heard they had more but it's been going off the shelves as fast as they could restock from this morning. They had like 10 100 ct. boxes of 45 WWB on the shelves right before I got there according to the guy stocking the shelves and I got the last 3.

Anyone have any experience with this stuff? I ordered some of it last night to give it a try, but I'm curious what others have to say.

I'd buy American. I here things about bad batches of ammo from certain parts of the world. It depends who you talk to, unless someone on here actually uses it. I think those distributers and batches i.e. bands change frequently so it would be hard to say.

I hardly own any American made ammo at all. In fact, the only American made ammo that I ever buy is Federal XM193 and Winchester Ranger 45ACP. That isn't an issue for me.

That said, I've been surfing around since I posted that question, and it appears that this South African 45 is almost universally praised for being good stuff. Clean, accurate, and a bit more power than most cheap ammo. I guess I'll see when I get it.

I asked the question poorly.

.223, I would like anything. Shooting for cheap 69-77gr ammo. 55gr is ok if I can find it for really cheap. PRVI 75gr is between $8-$11 per 20 on ze intarweb.

6.8mm SPC I would like any brand that's not Remington. It burns kinda clean but I do not like the accuracy with those rounds in comparison to SSA. I would love a shop in MD that sells this for less than $25 a box

I saw that too, left it for someone else. (I grabbed the last 8 boxes of 55 grain, last week.)

You have to check frequently. A guy there told me they keep getting it in, but it goes right out again.

They also have a box of .25 ACP if anyone's interested!
