Yep...that guy's an idiot. I wrote testimony for HB 760, which would allow teachers to carry a firearm. That obviously died in committee. It looks like he's using an aerosol pepper spray, which is a terrible idea. It will contaminate the entire area, which could impact law enforcement and everyone else around. I tried to push gel pepper spray to my superintendent and board. I also tried to push the JPX Pepper gun (check it out). Gel is the way to go for indoor environments and the JPX is the ultimate for self defense in this communist state. The JPX would even be legal to carry concealed in MD, but it's pretty large to conceal. I carry the Kimber pepper blaster around MD. That and a pocket knife. I have that combination to bring to any gun fight I might have in this great state :-)

Just as an aside, this is the same guy who secretly recorded Steny Hoyer telling him not to run against the chosen Democrat in the primary in a hotel room. Another story the media just doesn't seem interested in. But yeah what a goof.

That's not my district, so I don't get the pleasure of voting against him. Unfortunately my congress rep is Diana DeGette.

As lead sponsor in House on gun legislation, Rep. Diana DeGette appears to not understand how they work

But Tuesday at a Denver Post forum on the gun control debate, the senior congresswoman from Denver appeared to not understand how guns work.

Asked how a ban on magazines holding more than 15 rounds would be effective in reducing gun violence, DeGette said:

“I will tell you these are ammunition, they’re bullets, so the people who have those know they’re going to shoot them, so if you ban them in the future, the number of these high capacity magazines is going to decrease dramatically over time because the bullets will have been shot and there won’t be any more available.”

This infuriates me. Clueless clowns have no idea how something works, but they'll dictate all kinds of "control" with smugness.

I’ve never used pepper spray but I’ve seen videos of course. What’s the effective range for some of the better systems? Is there any chance that you’d be able to engage a shooter without being on top of him?

So he is saying Pepper spray can replace a gun and then wants to put Pepper spray throughout the schools, I can see where this will go

I've practiced with the Pepper Blaster and can hit a head size target at 21 feet.

I have used Mace (stream) at the same distance and I think the Pepper Blaster is easier to use and the gel does not get blown like liquid does.

I haven't been Maced in a long time but I'm sure some of our young officers are getting pepper sprayed in training and might chime in.

It is unwise to use pepper spray in a confined space (Classroom, hallway). I'm not sure if gel will have the same effect in a confined space. But also, I believe that the canisters require some monitoring to ensure they are under sufficient pressure to discharge without affecting the user.

So, where is this guy's call to take away police officers' sidearms and replace them all with pepper spray? If guns aren't necessary, then they aren't necessary, right? Would love to hear the LEO feedback to this guy if he takes his proposal to its logical conclusion.

Nothing but a publicity stunt by a wannabe democratic "leader".

He and others like him are well paid by Bloomberg. He warned us that he would shift his attention to the state and local levels, and so he did. And now his co-seditionist Soros has announced that he's also going to double down. :mad54:

We need to raise so much Civil Rights Hell in Maryland that their attention shifts back here. How we do that I don't know, but there are greater minds than mine here...

I don't think he needs a pepper spray,he needs a roll of toilet paper, because when he sees someone with a handgun, he already S.....himself:lol2:

Been sprayed multiple times with multiple agencies. OC is a compliance tool not a self defense weapon against someone with a firearm, knife, bat, etc...

Does it suck? Yes it does.
Can you fight through it? Yes you can.

If I'm intent on shooting you and you spray me in an attempt to stop me - you're still getting shot.

If I'm intent on stabbing you and you spray me in an attempt to stop me - you're still getting stabbed.

    Etc, Etc, Etc.....

Remarkably similar to some of the tools and trolls in the MGA. They were shocked to learned that mags could be reloaded.
