    I'd like to upgrade the sights on my XD, but I hear it's extremely hard to change yourself without damaging the slide. Is it really that difficult? Is there a local armorer in MD that has experience with changing XD sights or is my only option to send it off to SA and have them do it?

    Send it off to SA. From what've I've read and seen they have great turnaround and customer service.

    From what Ive heard, the sight (or at least the front) is pressed in with a hydraulic press, so even with a sight pusher, its pretty difficult to get the sight out.
