    Behind enemy lines...
    I've read where the SRK has/was at one time issued to Navy Seals in some fashion. Is this factual or just urban legend? I've never been able to find anything definitive other than Cold Steel claiming it was in their SRK description. So I'm leaning to the urban legend side...

    The Cold Steel website states the SRK is issued to SEAL candiadates during BUDS.

    I replaced my Camilius Fighting Knife back in the 90s with the SRK. It’s always been a good knife and has a very nice bablance.

    I remember reading (book written by a team guy) that many of the SEAL team guys carry Daniel Winkler knives, hatchets, and rescue tools.

    I also heard Strider knives are also popular with the teams.

    At the end of the day, SEALs are the top of the food chain, and get whatever gear they want. I’m sure each individual SEAL carries whatever he wants.
