    They lay their eggs in other birds nests and crowd out the young of more desirable birds, including a couple of endangered species.

    Maybe the mothers of those birds should peck holes in the cow bird eggs and solve their own problems without dragging me into their fight.

    Because cowbirds are native to the U.S., they are protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act and in most instances it is unlawful to use lethal control without a permit, including the removal of their eggs from a nest

    European Starlings are really an invasive species. Kill the heck out of them.

    Stole my thunder on all counts. I don't like cowbirds either, but they are native as all get out.
