i have heard it is really hard. well i heard from the tackle box when i first got here that you had to have 3 reported threats against you before they would approve it is this true??? they also told me that you also had to be carrying a certain amount of money. i have not looked into a carry permit because of this.

so is it true? is it near impossible to get a carry permit here???

Good luck! Even with three documented threats you will have a fight to get one. Carrying cash, drugs(legal ones), or firearms for business purposes are the best ways to get one. It still isn't easy. Good luck, and if at first you don't succeed appeal and keep pushing.

    Lots of threads on this.

Read the application. If you qualify, apply. If not, don't bother.

Amazingly simple despite the draconian requirements imposed by the state.

Actually, if you are the owner of a bonafide business (i.e. Incorporated, LLC, etc., have a business bank account, have an EIN from the IRS, etc. - the amount of money that you carry/deposit is not a prime consideration) then it is very easy to get a permit. If you are a physician, it is very easy to get a permit. Outside of that you must be a mega-contributor to the right politician's campaign.
