Savage was 127 plus tax....and I got the last one! Actually, August, it was your mossberg thread that got me thinking. I have a 12 yr old daughter and the rossi she has is a real pos. So...a trip to Wally World!

I picked up a MarkII as well, from 2A Sales a month or so ago. I got it for my daughter too, but she hasn't shot it yet. Mine (hers) has the accu-trigger and bull barrel. Shoots very accurate, for what I've done with it. I had a little problem with feeding at first, but once that was resolved, it has shot fine.

Nice! Love those iron sights, most of the Savages I see at places like Dick's are the GXPs with a scope. I was seriously jonesing for one of these until my wife got me a 10/22 for xmas. (Nope, still jonesing for one...)

Anybody know what model scope mounts this takes? Some of the higher end Mark II's have a grooved receiver but mine does not. I didn't know if anyone had scoped this rifle yet.
