No where near as tasty as White Perch. :party29:

You got that right! Snakehead is a guilt free fish too. Catch, kill and eat everyone you can find.

Rockfish continues to be a problem and they need to protect the breeder cows. They need to ditch the trophy season and make a slot limit. The smaller females in the slot limit and the schoolie males do less to increase the population, have less mercury in them and are just better eating fish period!

If not, we can just have another shutdown because people can't stop harvesting the big cows with so many more fisherman out there now a days with better sonar and internet reports to target them.

They need to crack down on the people that fish from shore and bridges or small Rinky fink boats who keep undersized fish. That’s a big problem in the bay and Ocean City.

    That and one word OMEGA

If they don’t take care of those 2 things then they don’t really care.

I've given up on rockfish. Stocks are too low and I absolutely do not need the NRP hassling me out on my own boat.

Blue cats, snakeheads and perch. We crab off of our dock. Last year's haul was delicious.

Interesting video on how the fisheries of the bay have changed over the years. Some of us remember when it seemed like all you caught was bluefish and rockfish really weren’t on anyone’s radar.

I agree they need to cut back with the commercial fishing that is taking all the bait fish. I've watched them hauling their nets in with thousands of menhaden time and time again. :mad54:

We caught two keepers and two shorts yesterday below the bridge. White umbrella rigs.

I hear you. I'm leaving them alone in the spring but may take one in the fall. Omega needs to be shutdown. One company is destroying an entire fishery for cat food and vitamin supplements. Once gone, the Rocks and Blues will make a huge comeback.

BTW, crabs are starting to run up the creeks :-)
