FWIW, the Glock OEM parts I have purchased benefit from a bit of polishing and finishing. I have polished with metal polish, a smooth pocket stone and even a fine hand file on past builds.

I'm not sure what the issue would be with the striker or the extractor in these kits. I've had to cleanup tiny burrs on the striker before. I also usually smooth the face of the firing pin safety. I haven't done anything to the extractor.

I can't really fix a bent striker or (gasp) pot metal though.

    I polish with these:
    Pocket stone

Injection molding (pot metal) is the problem where those two parts are concerned.

I'll be up near their physical shop in early August, I'll check out their store in the meantime. Starting to cut it close though to the end of the first ATF comment period, I'm worried the parts might dry up.

Do you have any thoughts on prepping for this upcoming shit show?

Other than buying up as many parts and parts kits you can, Not really.

I swear I saw some kind of locking blocks somewhere in my recent forays into the www. I just can't remember where or who had them... I'll have to get back to you on that one.

Thanks a bunch. I'm buying what I can, uppers included - seems like everything is a target.
