    I haven't seen the owlnsince that evening. I mkwed the grass tonight and walked through the area. Good news, didn't see lots of feathers, maybe the yotes and foxes didn't find it

    Related story: We have at least three barred owls hanging around the property for the better part of two weeks now. I used to occasionally hear them at night, but now these three are going on all day and night. I figure it's mating season. It makes it hard to put the baby chicks outside knowing they're that close, all the time.

    About 7 years ago we had a great horned owl break in to our chicken run (twice, two nights in a row). That was the last owl we actually saw. Now we're seeing them daily.
