Thank you. We got very fortunate and it has thrived in that spot. Tree is only six years old.

I go out hiking maybe 1-2x week in various spots in Carroll, Baltimore and Frederick counties. Take my camera and long telephoto out and have been capturing birds. Here's a few I like. My Flickr stream is at https://www.flickr.com/photos/jwgroovin/ if you're interested.

We need to take a camera with us more, since we're out in the woods somewhere almost every day.

Could have had some stunning pics today of a Red Breasted Nuthatch, and Palm Warblers in fall drabbage

Winter visitor ducks are starting to assemble, too.

As seen in my backyard today. There were two more just out of frame. I really wish there was a legal way to thin the herd.

You and me both. You know that MoCo police go into Northwest Branch Park and thin them right? My backyard property line is shared with the park, fully fenced but the white tailed goats make it in occasionally and maul my azaleas and hostas. I have been oh so tempted on more than one occasion.
