You actually got me there for a second. Personally I find AR style shotguns to be sins, if only for their godawful appearance. If you want a semi-auto shotgun then get something cool, like a Saiga.

From my experience in 3-gun The AR shotguns seem more reliable than the AK ones. One of my team members had an MK1919 and it was stone reliable.

Admittedly shooting/ hunting partner #2 likes his Siaga , but for me I prefer my shotguns to be shotguns , not bastardized EBR's .
Added- I'd much rather have a rifle that handles like a shotgun than the reverse ( bolt action slug guns excepted , but then they are more of a .72cal rifle in application ) .
