The evening of Friday November 13th, an Executive Order by the Governor was posted that would essentially shut down the Nation’s Gun Show. In response, we have filed a lawsuit in Fairfax County to get a temporary injunction to allow the show to continue this weekend. An emergency hearing should take place tomorrow morning. It is our hope to get this building opened back up so that more events for the community can take place.

The show takes months to put together and it is too late a notice for most of these businesses to recoup their losses. It will cause irreparable damage to all involved from the building, auxiliary businesses, the exhibitors, the promoter, the hotel, convenience stores, restaurants, and the strip mall. Exhibitors have significant investments in inventory, as do restaurants and convenience stores, much of which cannot be recouped. We will be releasing a GoFundMe and another type of crowdfunding for legal defense expenses.

We, the exhibitors, building staff and public have been very vigilant and gone above and beyond the state required COVID-19 safety measures. We have already had two shows with no known spread of COVID to exhibitors, staff or public. We are in a building more than 50,000 Sq. Ft. larger than the Walmart across the parking lot which remains open. We operate as a similar business model only temporarily in retail commercial business.

Thank you for your patience and we apologize any inconvenience. As soon as we have a verdict we will post on our websites and on social media.

I have never been to a gun show and would like to check one out but I would probably wait till things normalize a bit. Not looking to stand in lines for hours to buy overpriced stuff

Yes Facebook was updated and they posted this

    “HUGE WIN!!
The Nation's Gun Show scheduled for this weekend November 20, 21 & 22, 2020 has been VERIFIED on 11/18/2020 at 10:21am. NO OCCUPANCY LIMITS!!! However, we will be at the door making sure that we do not let in so many people that a 6ft distance cannot be maintained. Mask-wearing will be required. SPREAD THE WORD!”

Someone asked if they won the law suit and they responded with this

“ not yet. We have been talking with the health department in Fairfax and we have been approved to run the show as a retail establishment. No occupancy limits but we will only allow so many people in the doors at a time to maintain the 6ft distancing and mask-wearing will be enforced.”

The lines for hours are only at the beginning, not all day.

I've been to every show in the area since the wuflu started that wasn't cancelled, except for Chantilly.

    Gettysburg(×2), York, Timonium, Frederick.

I have never waited in a line to get in.

Yup. If you choose not to give clicks to the Compost, here's the story from the show web page.

    Update 11/19/2020 at 1:00pm
The Nation’s Gun Show is canceled this weekend, November 20, 21 & 22 at the Dulles Expo Center. Yesterday morning we were given then all-clear from Fairfax County Health Department who reasonably listened to our arguments from Monday and Tuesday, then called back to say we could operate as a brick and mortar retail establishment. Then much later that day the Governor and the Virginia Attorney General stepped in to close all the similar venues in the state of Virginia as well as ours inflicting incredible hardships in the entire state. We fought back and went to court at great expense and lost. We respectfully disagree with the judge’s opinion.

    Governor Blackface strikes again.

    He's a pos. What a dbag.

The gun show had a fair point: Walmart and other sellers are open. They must have some magical shielding to protect visitors from a virus. I guess governor blackface isn't much of a doctor after all. What a d*ck.

I posted this in the other thread but are Va Flea markets and "Dutch Farmers markets" open?
