I have a 20 gauge single shotgun with a broken transfer bar. I was going to try and replace the bar but cannot seem to find a replacement piece. Any recommendations? (other than boat anchor)

Word on the 'net is, if you can pick up one of the old-style hammers and replace the newer hammer with it, you render the transfer bar unnecessary.

    Or.... https://www.gunpartscorp.com/products/1139220A

I believe that's what you're looking for when you say "transfer bar?"

That looks like the part. Although the one for my gun seems to be unavailable. I like the idea of an old style hammer, or even building up the lower half of the hammer with weld to eliminate the cut out.

When I looked it up the first time on numrich arms. it said part no longer available. should have kept loking thnx.

Yeah, usually when they do a repro-run, the do all variants at once. Just have to know where to look. Numrich isn't exactly the most user-friendly experience in terms of web-ordering.

My experience with Numrich is mixed.. I never did find a front sight for a Ruger RSI 250 Savage... the website is a pain.. and calling on some parts is hopeless.
