All my regular smiths have passed or retired. Any smiths in the area that someone recommends that can stake a front sight on 1911 colt target match?

I kinda want to put a trijicon on, but don't have the staking tool for trijs, and heard they break easy.

You might want to seriously consider getting the slide dovetailed to Novak dimensions. Probably $50 for the cut and the sight options are greater. Plus likelihood of tube breakage goes way down. I’ve stakes several other sights but never staked a night sight.

Try trikshot (John Carduner) if you want to have the trij staked on.

I think trij is out. The rear adjustable is not dovetailed either. I might just go with a solid stake with a nice dot.
