virginia's on the warpath also, unfortunately no surprise. permanent loss of gun rights for MISDEMEANOR domestic violence; background check to rent a gun at a range; no guns around state capitol, etc. last year they allowed localities to enact their own gun control laws which now can be stricter/harsher than state laws. imagine trying to traverse VA with different laws in each city, county, etc. absolute bs.

    This is sad news.

So what are the parameters of "misdemeanor domestic violence"?

In case anyone made it down here to the third post in hopes of understanding what this is about, it's H.R. 127 ... a national gun registry/license law that " ... provide for the licensing of firearm and ammunition possession and the registration of firearms, and to prohibit the possession of certain ammunition."

It includes the requirement to register every gun you have or will have, where you got them, and where they will be stored ... and the compiled database will be available to the public. Also requires a federal license for "military style" weapons (includes the usual wet dream list of everything scary, like AR-15s, and anything that accepts a removable mag), but only after 24 hours of training and approval from The Crown.

Also bans 50 cal and greater ammo. Not very clear about, say, my 50 cal muzzleloader. Oh, and all "large capacity feeding devices" (anything over 10 rounds) are banned from possession.

It's the usual stuff, right out of California-style dreamin'.

OP: that wasn't so hard, was it?

    EDIT: Also discussed here ...

Eff Them...I've had about enough of this BS! I've seen combat. I'm ready to stand up and die when they come knocking on my door. I've got nothing to lose now. I don't own those calibers, but whats next?...your 22's?

don't count on it. the reason we're in the mess is that there are less and less kids getting into hunting and shooting. no one is invested in the shooting sports so no one gives a crap when this anti 2a, over the top, oppressive legislation hits. and guess what, the more rights we use, even less kids will be introduced to the shooting sports. and then less and then less.

why is no one introducing bills to ban alcohol and cell phones despite all the death and damage from drunk and distracted driving. because everyone uses a phone and most like to kick back a beer after work.

we're not going to get our numbers back by accident or luck.

True....unless people standup and there is blood shed, then in 20 years the commie socialist, fascist along with China would have taken over. I feel sorry for your kids and grand kids. These commies will never back off until they see there own blood shed. Its called the dumbing down of America folks. This could never have happened until now with the last generations who buy into anything.

I live in a 2A sanctuary city. The law overrules any gun law by the state or Fed.gov. that restricts ownership of a legitimate firearm or ammunition. No restrictions.

It's gut check . There is no more avoiding this. They have pushed us to the edge. Are you going to roll over or rise up?. Do you think our children will be able to fight this battle? No! They will not be able to. If you give one shit About your family and our country you will say enough. They are taking our rights away one Tyranical law at a time . I have lived a pretty long good life. I want my family to be able to have the same. I am telling you right now we cannot let this go. We must organize, rise up and Rid country of these demons. As we speak they are planning a massive False flag event. This event will be the spark they need to relieve us of our freedoms totally!! What say you?

Or, organize! Get out and be active in local elections. Take back the seats of power we have given away at the ballot box. Support strong candidates, once the local areas are taken back, the rest will be easier to obtain. We in this forum are a peaceful law abiding bunch. Let's flex our power at the ballot box. Who knows, we may even swing a few in power our way once we make some progress.

I say THAT is how we make changes.

Afraid of what? This, all of this, will never make it's way out of the courts. It's an illegal move, by none other than a career politician. Ok let's impinge on your 2nd amendment rights. This will never fly....as nobody will ever be able to define, what, where, and when. She should focus on those that are not law abiding citizens to stiffen the penalties as she walks down the street in D.C. Good grief, why worry.

Let's see we have a politician that authored this bill who is the same person that gave the directive to be offensive and act aggressively towards other members of the house of representatives and Congress no matter where you see or find them? But she has 24x7 armed protection? What a hypocrite! Even an Elephant doesn't forget. Total lunacy during a Pandemic.

    Now I'm Very Afraid!

We all know this will never pass as written. The scary part is even if just one increment of it is passed, it is a victory for the commies. They'll continue to chisel away at our God given rights until there are none left.

I was just about to text you.. This is scary as all hell! especially since it could go very unnoticed publicly with the left loving media. And did it say open to all public?!
