To me, MD is lost. Unless we can figure out some way to turn the population away from greed and wanting Government to be the center of their life, it's done. I agree with the Federal level fight and keeping the same thing that happened at the state level from happening at the Federal. I mean, WV is a red state, but it still has Manchin too. He rides the fence because he has too, but when the chips are down he votes Left. I feel that much of SCOTUS has been corrupted too. Roberts for sure. Even the new Majority seems dead in the water right now. Every protest against the last election has been tossed out. It's sad.

Some say go to another nation, where? Most of them are worse off than us. The Marxists were smart by taking over the schools and teaching the virtues of Communism. I think many of the hippies are dying off and maybe, just maybe we can back the leftist culture out of the schools, but it would be a long road. I think most people are too concerned with just making ends meet to concern themselves with teaching morality and the foundations of our country. All the kids seem to get now is how evil the U.S. is and how to make it better through communism. Sad.

If only we had a history book showing what the disenchanted Roman citizens decided to do when they realized the Republic was headed for ruin, then we would have a pretty good guide on what to do. Did they leave Rome to join the mercenaries and then sack Rome at a later date. Did they just stay within Rome even though they knew Rome was falling to pieces? When we start outsourcing more and more of our military, then the writing is on the wall for me and it is time to look at other nations, not states.

*****It's not the same as living there but I've been to a lot of places over the years in different parts of the world. There's a reason so many people want to come to the USA, even today. Much of Latin America is a socialist disaster, China and other parts of Asia are somewhat less tolerant of Americans living there than other nations, and many parts of Europe don't look like Europe anymore as they are full of poor immigrants that do not assimilate - mostly poor people from Africa, or displaced by war and poverty from the Middle East.

I was amazed walking around Venice and seeing more African vendors selling trinkets than Italian people last time I went before Covid hit. Call me pedantic, but when I go to Italy, France, Germany, Botswana, etc... I kinda wanna see Italians, French, German, and Botswanians in their respective countries, and not just a bunch of Phillipino and Chinese people running many of the stores and small businesses in Africa, or a bunch of Middle Eastern guys with seemingly nothing to do in Leipzig, or Stuttgart - that don't speak German and God knows what they do for money.

I guess we could all move to Chaz or Chop or the Texas new sovereign country by Austin but I'd rather not sleep in a tent unless I'm camping.

This is our country. I don't plan on moving out of it unless something really bad happens. Plenty of other countries out there, but the USA has a lot of advantages over most others.
