    IIRC...
“Pre-64” is a term used to describe the Winchester Model 70 transition and has very little bearing on other Winchester’s, including the Model 94. A Pre-64 Model 94 is not materially different from a 64, 65, and so on. Significant changes in design and construction occurred in the late70’s/ early 80’s, but till then the Model 94’s are pretty much unchanged.

There were significant changes made in 1964 to the production methods and material used as well as design changes. Although they may look similar, the shortcuts Winchester took in order to keep costs down were not well received by the public. The post '64 model 94 receiver was plated to accept bluing, something that was not needed with the pre '64 version. The methods of manufacturing internal parts was changed also. The next significant change was when they produced their angle eject receivers to facilitate mounting the scope over the receiver instead of along the side, in response to the popularity of Marlin's ability to mount the scope on top.

I can’t really tell. If cut, they did a fine job.
Compare your stock to these pics. They might help you decide if your stock has been cut. The rifle in the pics is a 94 made in 1953 in 32 Win Spl.

Thanks. No additional holes drilled. I’m not selling, just curious since prices are all over the map. I think it’s so much more rifle than current models. It’s hardly been shot!

The sling swivel is an additional hole. They did not come from the factory with swivels. Can’t see clearly in the pic, but it looks like the bluing is worn, as that vintage Rifle should be deep blue Your value is probably about $550
