    No, he had too many firearms at home so to comply with MGA gun safety he had the guns outside and the kid inside so he couldn't be accused of allowing a child access to any.

    Knowing kids, the most likely answer is one child locked another inside while they were playing in/around the open safe.

    If there was only one child present, that's a very good question. Perhaps kid slipped in while parent wasn't looking, parent turned back around and closed the safe.

    Years ago,I was in TSC,checking out a gun safe they had for sale.I dont remember the brand.The door was open,so I shut it and it locked up tight.I went to an employee,who got the manager to get it opened again.She didnt know if or where the combo or key was.I asked her "What if a kid got in and another kid closed the door?" Her mouth about hit the floor.
