I have a lead for a Winchester 1894 30-30 with a serial number that puts it in the 1943-1947 year range where they don't have records for the exact date. I'd like to offer the guy a fair price. It's in excellent condition. There just seems to be a wide variant in prices. I've attached a few pictures that were sent to me. Thoughts on a fair price?
    Thanks!

Yea you're prob right. I figured because of its age. Good condition then. That site says 1942 but a number of others put it in the undocumented range of 43-47. Clean bore. No pitting evident

It looks a little too new. Ask for a photo of the screw area on the receiver to see if it has been dished out from polishing.

Always hard to tell from pictures because the flash makes the wood look light (like it was refinished). If the finish is original (steal and wood alike), and with the dings, I think you should be able to get $650-$750.00 for it. It's a nice rifle. I have two in that serial range that are in excellent condition and have recently received offers in the $850.00-$900.00 range if that helps. The front sight hood being present is a plus (so many missing).

I am thinking of a Winchester 94. Pre-64 with some honest wear on it. I realized with all my lever guns, I do not have a 94. Major oversight on my part. But hope to have something to report soon.

I found a 94 at an LGS. Price tag was $599 and tage said it was 1949. bore is good, one or two small dings in the wood but overall good condition I think. There was not much wear on the metal, no rust. the price is $599 Is it worth the $$? I dont know anything about winchester lever guns. The action wasnt exactly smooth compared to my old marlins.
