When I looked at Wideners website to check on my stripped lower order from last week, they had a note next to the item's product page that they only had a few left.

So how much are they gouging for a Spikes or RRA stripped lower now?

A buddy of mine just sent a link from one of the auction sites (gunbroker I think).

$3000 for a pari of PSA lowers (buy now), with the bids starting at $1700.

    It's crazy.

I wonder what an 80% lower and jig without a serial number would bring just days prior to an assault weapons ban??? :lol2:

While I'm ok with complete rifle , I have an eventual project in mind that requires a virgin lower. What I got happened to be a Spikes , but happened coincidentialy.

Have upper w/o bolt assy , but the rest will have to wait in any case due to other obligations. In worst case could canalablize a carbine for the rest.

$255 for a RRA so far...$280 for Spikes. Quite a bit of time left on both.

This isn't gouging, it's the new normal.

For a touch of sanity, Brownells has stripped T6 aluminum lowers contract manufactured by Tactical Machining on pre-order for $95/per.

FOB your FFL sometime in January. Too bad one will be gouged on all the other components.
