In recent years I’ve become very interested in the Vietnam war and the weapons used in Southeast Asia. I’m happy to say that I recently found what I believe to be a nice example of such a weapon with the help of “OldCarJunkie”.
This is a Chinese “Chicom” Type53 Carbine made in December of 1953 at the Chinese Arsenal 296. Its an import but I couldn’t be happier with it and she’s a blast to shoot. The people to my left and right at the range were quite “captivated” by the sound of this 7.62x54 stubby going off.
I’d love to see other examples people may have or even other examples of Vietnam “bringback” weapons they may have.
