It took Dillon two tries to get the right parts to me. All told it took maybe three weeks or so before I got the press running again.

Oh, I got a nice Christmas Eve present. My refrigerator died. Well, someday you eat the bear and some days you get the shaft.

I expected the little RCBS Partner press I bought to be the one most likely to have a failure because it's so light compared to the Ideal. Hopefully Lyman covers this under warranty.

If you are shooting 185-190 grain bullets, H380,H335 or4064 will work. If you are shooting 200gn then H414 and 4350 will work.

In the remote chance you are shooting 150-175, H4895 will work.

Thanks for the information, I am using a 170gr bullet. I have some H4895 so I'll give that a try.

I had started with a Lee hand press a few months ago and decided to upgrade to a Lee value turret press for now. I also was lucky and got a Lee single-stage press from JamesDong in a karma.

I put the turret press on a short length of a 2x6 so I could move it out of the way easily for other work. I used the Lee mounting plate to also be able to exchange the single-stage and turret on the same moveable platform.

Looks good. My bench is too cluttered. I have the lee single stage that I work on rifle ammo and the Dillon 550 set up for 9mm. That setup works well since I often have one of my sons helping.

My wife is happy that I moved the reloading station/clutter off the larger family dining table, lol.

20 Rounds of 300 HAM'R, just trying to duplicate some factory ammo and try out things I received for Christmas. One round had its primer not seat as far as the rest so I'm waiting on a bullet puller to arrive so I can take care of that.
