Yeah, I started with a .38 Colt Official Police. It's actually the only one that I ever sold. That may be your only one, but it's a very nice piece.

Most of you have probably already seen this pic from when I purchased the SP101.
I'm not a big fan of handguns, but I find it necessary to have one with some stopping power and great reliability, plus it accepts 2 calibers- .357 & .38spec

I hope y'all realize I am running over to Gunbroker to check out each of these fine guns. I'm itching for a .357 revolver.
IMO a used Smith & Wesson model 27 is really tough to beat. If not the 27, the somewhat less adorned (and therefore less expensive) Model 28 Highway Patrolman is sweet too, even if it is lacking that really nice glossy blued finish and checkering on the top strap.
