I am going to try to post my humble collection of mostly reproductions. Hope it works. Computers, cameras and I don't get along to well, as you will see.
I still prefer using smoke signals:innocent0

At bottom, Ruger Single Six .22. Left to right #1- Peitta copy of Colt 1860 open top .36, with Kirst .38 cartridge conversion cyl. #3 Peitta copy of 1858 Remington .44 BP, with Kirst .45 conversion cyl. #'s 2, 5 and 6 are Uberti copies of Colt 1873 .45 long colt. Last but not least, #4 Original Colt 1860 .44 Army. All matching S/N, except for loading lever. It was missing had to procure from Dixie Gun Works. Per S/N gun was manufactured in 1863.

Before anyone ask, I have not fired either one of the conversions yet.

    Thanks for looking.

Thanks gent's! I drink the Colt coolaide if you couldn't tell. I have 4 and I need at least 7 or 8 by my count. :D

.45colt is a pretty awesome cartridge, JoppaJ. Every once in a while it's cool to load it with black powder and smoke up the firing line. The BP's muzzle report sounds cool too.

Skip-a-long, that "foot" in your pic almost made me spit iced tea on my monitor.

When I buy my SAA it will be a Colt.

BUT, if I was to step outside that parameter I'd be inclined to look very hard at Taylor and Co's, "Smoke Wagon Deluxe".

The deluxe model is fully tuned by SAS shooter and gunsmith Cody Conagher. He sells them for $575 which is below Taylor's MSRP. I feel it's a great deal on a nice gun.

Personally I'd go with the 4.75" version.

Rockzilla, you do realize that not firing them is a sin punishable by eternal damnation, right?

Yep, man I had bought these years ago, I mean years ago. think I paid $290 for the 29 and $150 for the 19. The diamond backs are all new also, think $300 for them both. One other thing I have is a set of Ruger Security Sixes bicentennial 4" & 6" NIB. old three screw Rugers 22/22mag, 44 mag. I used to get paid on Fridays run up to Hagerstown, order guns, sometimes 2 of the same thing one to shoot one to keep in box. Also got 2 Colt Gold Cups Mk 4 70 Series NIB.
Here's something a little off subject but I tell people this. I went to Bakers Gun House and wanted a rifle, I wanted a magnum,Tim at the time was going thru his Dealer books and calling around for me. well a 375 H&H nah...458 Win mag well sure. So he ordered me a Ruger #1 in 458 Win Mag, the walnut stock is awesome, never shot it but have it. I had more money money, then brains back then but was looking at them from an investment standpoint. When I can get to my others I will post them here.

And of course the shoes in the photo ..... Walmart $30 new

Deeeep breaths, take deep, deep breaths and let them out slowly...

I have done just that.....went and looked at the revolver I was interested in tonight and after a hard look, decided it was not for me. The price was right, but the gun was not. I have danced that dance before when I bought the SCCY.

The gun gods will look out for me and one day, the right gun at the right time at the right price will appear and I will have the money to get it.

    it was a S&W pre-model 10. Probably from the 40's. 4 inch barrel, .38. $290.

The grips were wood, but not original, with some kind of cheap medallion in place of the S&W one.

Action was tight, and all that, but I just don't have $300 right now to spend on another gun, and I don't want to impulsively sell something without being SURE that I want to sell it.
