    What’s the going rate for 1 pound lead ingots ?
    I’m bidding on some things in an auction that ends this weekend and they have a few lots up for bid

    It depends on what type of lead or lead alloy it might be. Unfortunately, you will probably never know, other than if it’s hard lead or soft lead. Linotype lead is worth more than pure lead, but without a way to tell for sure what alloy it is its hard to estimate a price.

    One scrap metal place is paying 40 cents a pound for clean lead, average price for scrap is 58 cents.
    Amazon has pure lead $12.75 a pound.
