My only Russian Tokarev matching 1940 with holster

You, sir, have the ultimate Tokarev. My Romy, Czech and Polish TT-33's are simply wannebes. A Russian Tok is in a league of it's own!

The first challenge with reloading 7.62x25 was finding the empty PPU brass that my M57 threw about 30 feet behind me.

Yep, pistols that fire 7.62x25 rounds can and will send spent cases into orbit. With full power loads the cases may wind up in the next county... ;)

Many many years ago (when I acquired my first CZ-52) nobody knew what 7.62x25 ammo was and there was none to be found anywhere. Being a re-loader I grabbed an RCBS case forming die and began building my own ammo out of "free" 223 range cases. They're not perfect and become "pregnant guppies" when fire formed, but they are inexpensive to make and a lot of fun to shoot. Good luck finding that RCBS die set inexpensively these days tho...:sad20:

Toks and CZ-52's are definitely a ton of fun at the range!

Where'd you find a conversion kit??

Back when Ebay allowed more gun stuff, I bought a conversion kit that had a 9mm barrel with link, bushing, and shimmed 9rd magazine. I THINK that was it, I haven't looked at the kit in a long time. I still see 9mm barrels on Ebay occasionally, usually for the Type 54.

I also bought a kit for my VZ2008 that came with a 10rd magazine, BXN stripper clips, and a mag well lock, in anticipation on MD banning detachable magazine fed rifles. Never had to use it, but have it just in case.

Will 213 barrels drop in to a military gun? The 213 was totally for commercial offerings I thought. Unsure if they're the same parts wise

These are nice pistols, I have one that looks like it was arsenal rebuilt. Really wish I could get one without that add-on safety. I have seen at least one Viet Nam era bring back posted here in the original configuration.

[EDIT] Oh wow - some of the ones in this thread are awesome.
