Expanding bullets. I have some of the lehigh 194gr, but not enough.

Its so bad that I bought some trail boss to make 308 subs instead.

Blue color has some 190 sub x for 33 cents per. Midway had some for closer to 50 cents. Both sold out. Keep any eye on the accurate shooter thread.

Received the 205gr Sig expanding sub pulls from American today.

I previously had load data from 205gr FMJ using 11.0gr A1680 that gave me exactly 1000fps and 950fps through the can (16" w/carbine gas). I will use that as a starting load and hope to test this weekend at camp.

    I'm watching eagerly.

...and no offense, I know you are a seasoned reloader, but why not start a little higher and work down, this being an unknown(to you) subsonic? I say this out of concern for your safety. :)

Yes, loading up, shooting down. I won't run the can until the ladder is tested and bullets verified not keyholeing.

I have this load as a known terminal point for the same bullet grain, but not the same projectile, so I will load a ladder from 11g -> 13g and fire them from 13g -> 11g

    thanks

I thought water jugs would be a good catch medium on the cheap, but after thawing out 2 gal for 2 days, the 11.0gr round blew through both. The entry hole in the second jug does appear to show some expansion, which should be the case.

How did they group and at what distance? I'm also looking for a 30 cal sub that expands, but not at a super high cost on the projectiles. I've got a rem 700 that I'd like some functionality while be silly quite.

Grouping wasn’t on my todo list, I was dumping them into the berm to get back inside before my digits started falling off. I shot 5 of each load (55 rnds total) to get the avg speeds
